Yellow fever vaccination in DR Congo, the role of health promoters

In August 2016, MSF participated in one of the largest yellow fever vaccination campaigns in Africa: more than 10 million people were vaccinated in the DRC over a period of 10 days. MSF managed the campaign in three districts of the sprawling megalopolis of Kinshasa, reaching 710,000 people. This required the commitment of the health promotion team, Congolese staff, who tirelessly traveled the dense city to convince people to get vaccinated.
